Collection: Shinichi Yamada

Shinichi Yamada is a ceramic artist based in Shirakawa, Fukushima, and the thirteenth-generation head of Ikariya Kiln, a historic kiln with more than 400 years of history. Working within the tradition of Ōbori Soma ware—known for its blue crackle glaze, double-walled structure, and running horse motif—he creates Japanese ceramics that blend heritage, resilience, and contemporary simplicity.
