Takeshi Honda is a ceramic artist working at Shiretoko Kiln in Mashiko, Tochigi. Originally from Shiretoko in Hokkaido, he established the kiln in 2007 and has since developed a style grounded in honesty and simplicity. His works are known for their quiet strength—organic forms, softly layered white and earthy glazes, and surfaces that reveal the movement of the hand. Subtle textures and natural clay tones give each vessel a calm presence rooted in the tradition of Mashiko pottery.
