“Ukigumo” (浮雲) refers to drifting clouds—ever-changing, gentle, and quietly passing through the sky.
A softly formed teapot and cup set by Fumiyama, crafted in Kanagawa prefecture using clay sourced from Shigaraki, Shiga prefecture, where she was trained. Known for its gentle texture and quiet presence, the piece is finished in a matte glaze that feels warm and natural in the hand.
Delicate cloud motifs are drawn in soft blue, drifting lightly across the surface—subtle, almost poetic. The rounded form and slightly flared rim create a sense of ease, designed to fit naturally into everyday tea moments.
Inside the teapot, a built-in ceramic strainer reflects thoughtful craftsmanship, balancing beauty with function. Each piece is shaped by hand, resulting in slight variations that make it uniquely its own.
This set consists of one teapot and two matching cups.
*Due to the nature of the clay, we recommend lightly rinsing the piece with water before use and washing it promptly by hand after each use. Over time, tea or other liquids may naturally deepen in the fine cracks of the glaze, adding to its character.
