This handcrafted set was made in Kuji, Iwate, by the artisans of Kokujiyaki Kiln. Named "Michinoku," an ancient word for northeastern Japan, it evokes the quiet beauty of distant lands once known as the "far end of the road." With its soft glaze and organic form, this set reflects the spirit of Michinoku—simple, humble, and deeply rooted in nature and tradition. Perfect for matcha or as a peaceful accent in your daily tea ritual.
*The bamboo matcha whisk (chasen) shown in the photo is not included.
