Handcrafted in Toki City, this Matcha Bowl by Shoan Kiln reflects the 1,300-year heritage of Mino ware while embracing a contemporary sensibility. Named 墨流 Bokuryu—“flowing sumi ink”—the piece captures the quiet movement of sumi tones merging with the organic curves formed by hand. Each bowl is individually shaped, allowing subtle variations in form and glaze that make every piece one-of-a-kind. The inky hues gently drift across the surface, echoing calligraphic brushstrokes and the fluidity of tea. Both grounded and expressive, this chawan offers a refined presence—perfect for mindful tea moments or as a sculptural accent in a modern space.
