Masato Miura creates Bizen ceramics fired in his semi-underground anagama kiln in Okayama. Because Bizen ware is unglazed, flame, ash, and clay interact during long wood firings, creating natural markings and earthy tones. Despite the intensity of the firing process, Miura’s works often carry a quiet gentleness inspired by everyday cooking and the beauty of the table.
