Starbursts of energizing ochre ignite these palm-sized plates, the product of master potter Suehiro’s proven techniques and specialty Japanese Bizen clay. The fiery red coloring is unique to each piece and is borne out of many changes during the firing process. The hue and depth vary depending on where the item was within the kiln chamber and ash distribution. No two are alike.
These palm-sized vessels are perfect for dipping sauces or holding small accessories like rings and fine jewelry.
The liquid may penetrate the vessel due to the nature of the clay. If you are concerned about this, please do not put liquid items on the plate or wash them promptly after use.
