Master Bizen potter Masato Miura created the Kuon (久遠, meaning "eternity") two-piece sets in homage to Sueki—an ancient pottery style from 6th-century Okayama and the root of Bizen ware. These sets are fired in an anagama kiln, the soft green-gray surface is born from the natural reaction of iron in the clay and fire, with no glaze involved. This bowl and teacup set is ideal for daily use—from rice and miso soup to matcha and ice cream. Each of the six sets has subtle differences in color and pattern, making every combination one of a kind.
