There are white strawberries and red strawberries in Japan.

White Strawberries

In Japan, strawberry season has arrived. In the U.S., strawberries are sold everywhere and can be eaten at any time, but in Japan, the season is from mid-January to around March. When I was a child, strawberries were considered treats only for special occasions, but with improvements in production and quality, many varieties are now available in stores and are much more affordable than before. Recently, white strawberries like the ones in the photo have been invented and are popular. Hats off to the ingenuity of strawberry farmers! By the way, they are just as sweet and delicious as red strawberries.
