This one and only elegant Japanese Vase Anagama Kinyo 2, was fired with an anagama kiln, an ancient type of wood-burning pottery kiln.  The elegant spiral contour captures a stream-like quality.  The combination of the hand-painted kinyo glaze and the natural ash and minerals from the kiln created unique random patterns of blue/green contrasting with a subtle pink textured background.
