coffee time with WAZA Tokyo ceramics

All is bright

Recently, my family moved to a condo in March of this year. We had lived in a small two-story house in Japan for 15 years, and during that time we raised two boys, who are now 17 and 20 years old and about to fly away from home and head to college. Before we moved, I read Marie Kondo's book, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, and watched her Netflix program which lead to thinking about our upcoming empty nest situation. My husband and I decided to follow the advice of Marie Kondo and downsize our house. Yes, downsize. I realize now it's easy to say, but difficult to do!

Now, as a result of getting rid of things that we don't need, I feel GOOD. Take for example my cups - I no longer miss that one cup just because I had space for it. Now, I have only cups that are beautiful and put a smile on my face.

What cups did I keep? Well of course, my Joshua Blue ones! This cup of coffee starts my day with an "All is calm, All is bright" morning.
